Redundant picspam post (Dok Sa!)

Nom nom. Now, on the off chance someone actually clicked this cut, I think I should explain. Dok Sa, which literally means "poison snake", is a minor character in my current kdrama obsession, East of Eden. He's so awesome I felt compelled to dedicate a picspam post to him, even though 99% of the people on my flist don't know/care for East of Eden, and those who do probably focus on the glistening pecs of Song Seung Heon (- not that I can blame them!).

I admit, I have a thing for reformed traitors. When Dok Sa first appeared on the show, he was a member of the Incheon Harbor Boys, a tough gang that picked on EoE's leading character, Dong Chul, while he was stuck in a correctional facility with them. Look at them ogling the poor guy (the 15 year old version of Dong Chul, incidentally, is played by BoF's Kim Bum). For some reason, Dok Sa gave Dong Chul a make-shift knife, which he later used to protect himself against the gang.

Later on, Dok Sa was a very, very bad boy. Even though Dong Chul ended up joining the gang and helping them, Dok Sa betrayed him to his mortal enemy and even abducted his little brother. Imagine his surprise when Dong Chul found out and busted in on him...

Dong Chul ends up having to run away to Macau, where he stays for a few years. In the meanwhile, Dok Sa ends up in prison with a bad leg. Years later, on the day of Dok Sa's release from prison, he's got no one and nowhere to go...

... Until he sees Dong Chul and some of the other gang guys waiting for him. He's about to crap himself as Dong Chul approaches. But Dong Chul's being... nice? Dok Sa angrily refuses Dong Chul's release gift, he says, if you want to kill your betrayer, just do it quickly. Dok Sa's so emo, all crippled and angry. He can't understand why Dong Chul's being kind to him. When Dong Chul says he can get his leg fixed and offer him a job, he calls him a jerk and starts tearing up. He tells Dong Chul that he'll be the first to betray him and stab him in the back, that Dong Chul should be dead in his eyes. Then he hugs him and cries like a baby. It's so adorable.

Dok Sa quickly becomes Dong Chul's right hand. I love his little police outfit, which he used as a cover to help free a prisoner.

He also cleans up rather well. That's him as the head of security in the casino run by Dong Chul.

He took quite a few beatings for Dong Chul, risking his life on a regular basis.

And when Dong Chul had to leave everything and go work in a dumpster, guess who went with him?

*sniffle* Don't worry, Dong Chul got rich later on, and Dok Sa went wherever he went. And they lived happily ever after. Or so I hope, the series isn't over yet and currently Dong Chul's on the run, leaving Dok Sa to take care of his business.
