Ron/Draco post-Hogwarts (fic recs)
So, K-pat wanted some H/D post-Hogwarts/post-war fics that don't suck. Umm... how about 2 out 3? Ron/Draco's a much cooler pairing anyhow ;) Thought I'd post these here as well.
* A Soft Spot for Lost Causes by helenish - Ron/Draco, NC-17, post war H/C (possibly disturbing themes - Draco's been abused and is under some kind of compulsion spell for a while).
* The Wizard Survival Act - Ron/Draco (primary), Harry/Neville, Dean/Seamus, Snape/Lupin, Hermione/Ginny, NC-17, post-war, WIP (25 chapters posted), MPREG warning (but it's not badfic, I promise).
* Lather, Rinse, Repeat by florahart - Ron/Draco, NC-17, Auror!Ron becomes Draco's bodyguard.
* Unexpected by kaalee - Ron/Draco, NC-17. "Ron has climbed the Ministry ladder and is finally in a
respectable position. The only problem? Draco is his boss."
* Draco Malfoy and the Slytherin Murders by titti - Ron/Draco, futurefic, "Ron and Draco must work together to find out who is killing children of Slytherin couples."
* See No Evil by squidlytales - Ron/Draco, Ron/OMC, NC-17, futurefic with Ron as a healer taking care of Draco. "After Draco is blinded in an accident that wasn’t quite an accident after all, Ron takes him in and soon discovers that not everything or everyone is as it seems."
* The Better Part of Valor by mad_maudlin - Ron/Draco, PG-13/R, futurefic where they're aurors (or just Ron? Am senile...) "Discretion is the better part of valor. But for Ron Weasley, a rash of Muggle poisonings coupled with the abrupt and disturbing return of Draco Malfoy to his life threaten to blow the lid off his best-kept secret."
* A Different Tune by novembersnow - Ron/Draco, R, post-war. "Because of the judgments of an unforgiving society, Draco can't seem to move on after the war. He runs into Ron and finds, that for other reasons, Ron can't either."
* Feelings and Other Atrocities by tarie - Ron/Draco, Draco/various, NC-17. "After the War and a series of unfortunate events, Draco Malfoy finds himself employed in the worst office imaginable at the Ministry of Magic. He hates his job, he hates his superior (Ron), and he rather hates everything except sex, himself, and his own needs. He only feels alive when being selfish and shallow, and he quite likes it that way; the last thing he wants to be known as is someone who has feelings and other atrocities. Right?" (PS- Just skimmed through this one, but it looks good.)
* Life Is a Great Adventure by titti - Ron/Draco, Snape/Narcissa (not explicit), NC-17, post-war. "Draco reappears after six years to ask for Ron's help with evil wizards, Snape's disappearance and lethal stones." I love the dynamic between Narcissa, Snape and Draco in this one.
* Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by Mad Maudlin/wideworldsend - Ron/Draco, R, futurefic. "Draco Malfoy's life takes a turn for the traumatic when he's kidnapped by Ron Weasley to protect him from an murderous foe he's never heard of. With friends like these, who needs enemies?"
* Morning, Noon and Night by Mad Maudlin/wideworldsend - Ron/Draco, R, futurefic. "A day in Ron Weasley's life, with its biggest complication." V. cute.
OK, so I cheated and included a couple of teen!love fics. But really, you can't read R/D and not read these two.
