Go to
Wikipedia and look up your birthday (excluding the year). List one death, two births and three neat facts in your journal, including the year.
date being
24DEC, we have...
1 death:
1524 - Vasco da Gama, Portuguese explorer
2 births:
1970 - Will Oldham, American songwriter (i swear this man is haunting me!)
1166 - King John of England (d. 1216) (john lackland... figures)
3 neat facts:
1906 - The first radio program, consisting of a poetry reading, a violin solo, and a speech, is broadcast
1914 - World War I: The "Christmas truce" begins.
1968 - The crew of Apollo 8 enter into orbit around the Moon, becoming the first humans to do so.
(this date also saw many disasters, the formation of the KKK and uh, someone trying to assassinate napoleon...)

'north and south' is my new obsession. and, obviously, richard armitage. he incinerated my HD playing john thornton and now i must have more. definitely getting the DVDs when i get to any DECENT country that carries them. *sigh*
in the meanwhile, i've been trolling the internets for related material. i found some amusing things...
- IMDB user comments: "Who knew a tough, buttoned-up mill owner with a mother-fixation, a foul temper and a perpetually severe expression could be so appealing?"
- that scene makes me turn into a warm puddle of goo:
- where do i enlist???
seriously though, i like how he answered that question.
- his next role is apparently monet. mmm, pretty.
-
audio clip of richard armitage reading a scene from 'north and south' (the book) (YSI)

richard-armitage.com and so i'm now desperately seeking anything with richard armitage in it (excluding 'north and south'). help out, anyone? i'm especially interested in '
sparkhouse'.
