internship
I had an interview today at Catholic Charities for an internship and I unofficially got it. Im really happy, i used to not be interested in that place b/c i thought it was a religious organization but its not really. I guess its sort of like the YMCA, its based on Christian principles but they arent there to preach. Anyway, its great they deal with so many social justice issues but I will get to work on my 2 favorites which are adoptions and helping immigrants as well as working to change legislation for comprehensive immigration reforms.
I also have an interview tomorrow at East End Life Center, they deal with health care for the hispanic community in the 6th ward. im excited about that too, ive heard a lot of great things about that place...but we'll see.
