Kitties & Furniture
Jason and I have managed to furnish our apartment for only $50!
Sunday Jason and I made a list of moving and community sales to visit, the first one we went to was up in Anthem. We get there and there's not much left, but there's a couch! It was marked $50 which wasn't bad at all it was in great condition. We take note and say we have a few other places to visit and the lady said I'll sell it to you for $10. Jason and I stopped, turned around, and said we'd take it! Jason was checking out a black leather Lazy Boy recliner she said to make an offer. We didn't have a clue we looked at eachother and she offered $10 for that as well, SOLD! I called Dad and he helped us get it to the apartment. Mom came with him because she wanted to check out the sale too. She ended up buying two end tables one for up in Caliente and one for us. Jason saw there was a pitcher for sale as well we asked how much and she said we could have it. Jason told her he felt bad because it seemed like we were robbing her. The couch was the woman's Mother's and she had it reupholstered and then never let anyone sit on it, that;'s why it was in such great condition, and comfy too! The woman took pictures of it leaving I felt kinda sad for her. She was happy we were getting it though.
Yesterday Jason and I went and got him a desk he really liked off of Craig's List. It was $20 (most expensive!) haha. It's a nice looking desk and well built too. :) Tomorrow we should be getting him a computer chair for $10 and then we will be done.
Saturday Jason and I got the kitties that were at the house. They were Ryan's (his brother's) but he didn't want them when we moved in there and they always stayed with us anyway. We has asked for them and were told, "Fuck no, those are my cats!" Then someone called the SPCA on him and all of a sudden he's wanting to give us the cats. We're happy to have them and they seem even happier to be here. :)
