What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: Anything goes, dude. His home canon is a wacky, wacky place sometimes.
Abilities: Kit is a wizard. This basically means that it's his job - given to him by the Powers That Be - (yes, those ones!) - to keep the universe runinng the right way. Wizards use the language of the Speech (the language used, supposedly, to create the fabric of reality) to make things happen around them. Kit has a wizard's Manual that he carries around with him where he gets his spells; to anyone who's not a wizard, it appears to be a boring-looking, slightly battered hardcover book.
Wizards are also bound by the Wizard's Oath, the full text of which can actually be found here. Basically it means that he cannot cause harm to anything or anyone - unless he has to in order to fulfill his bigger commitment of halting entropy. It also means that you won't ever catch him lying, swearing or cheating, because words and thoughts have power.
One of the side effects of being a wizard and knowing the Speech is that Kit is able to communicate with any person, creature or thing in some way.
Notes for the Psychics/Magically or Spiritually sensitive:
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Warn me first, but for now, sure.
Hugging/kissing/other non-violent physical contact: Any touching that would be considered appropriate in your standard social setting is okay, but other than that, ask me first!
Maim/Murder/Death: For now, the answer is no.
Cooking: Hahaha he's a thirteen-year-old boy.
Other: Kit always always always has his Manual with him. If anyone who isn't a wizard from his canon looks through it, it'd look like either a normal book, or like it was written in scribbly jibberish.
