So I read this yesterday before lunch and I was barely halfway through this story before I was yelping places to eat because I NEEDED something as amazingly delicious as what Chanyeol and Baekhyun were eating (my sad sad sandwich for lunch just wasn't going to cut it). I didn't know someone could write about food and have the same effect as 먹방 but I was so, so wrong!
Because seriously, if the way you wrote about food was even half of how chanyeol talked about food... no wonder Baekhyun was smitten in that first date!
I love your writing and the clever ways you draw readers into Chanyeol and Baekhyun's world. The characters and their relationships feel so full, and their lives necessarily complex. I really like how you drop us into a part of their lives as if we are really like flies on the wall.
Additionally, I love how true to living in Seoul you write. It's all in the details that you are able to evoke the experience of living and dining in Seoul -- it makes me remember fond things of a past life, and I so appreciate that.
And your Baekhyun and Chanyeol are so wonderfully cute together! Can never get enough of Chan's lame ass jokes. And all their fluffy moments were the perfect amount of sweetness.
Loved this & always looking forward to your next work!
i don't know what i did to deserve such a nice (and long) comment from you for this silly little thing, but i sincerely sincerely thank you and you are too kind and i don't deserve it. especially for this story. but i'll accept any and all love thrown my way.
also, yes, food. I feel like i didn't do the food justice (since i based a lot of this on real food i've had). and i'm sorry for making you hungry (though i had a warning somewhere about that being a possibility). lol.
it's funny, cause I always have to limit how much "seoul" and such I include in my writing, so as not to isolate the audience or have to explain things. i take a lot of liberties where i can. so i'm really happy that a little bit of the reality of it all resonated with you.
again, thank you for such a nice comment. you know i'm always looking forward to whatever you write next, too. (have i said thank you enough times yet for you to feel how flattered i am?)
