"Hey - are you okay? I'm me again -- I don't look like me yet, but I'm getting there. I kind of remember seeing you when I wasn't, though, and I'm pretty sure I didn't eat you, but check in to let me know nobody else did, k?"

Okay, that had Kenzi sniffling. DO NOT TELL ANYONE. But Bo was Bo again, and she could use a phone, and she'd called. After Kenzi got a grip, she called back, voice all casual.

"Hey, you're sounding way saner."

That was a sigh of relief, and you could tell anyone you liked.

"I'm feeling way saner. And less hungry. Like maybe I'll eat again when I'm fifty."
