sixth form + life

Sep 10, 2008 19:30

so it's halfway through first proper week and sixth form so figure i'd give a break down on how it's going.

genreal-it's a brilliant atmosphere and any dicks have left or got the point to stfu or face banhammer.

subjects!

Maths- oh god why did i take maths,  i'm finding it quite hard but if it gets easier or whatever i'll stick with it i think :)

Chemistry- hard work but going over shit I never got in GCSE (thankyou fucking cunts on left back row for terrorising and making it shit )
so that shall be continued

History- two courses at the same time! one teacher is doing Cold war and other is doing Yorkists vs Lancastrians and both are very awesome teachers, an EPIC WIN

Computing- thank fucking christ i got a B in maths and got in, it's just been theory but it's extremely interesting and explains alot of what i was wondering.

other stuff: teachers do treat you differently and free periods are
pretty nicely distributed so full day seems to get day after with free's to relax.
workwise, my workload has gone up quite abit e.g two history courses at once and chemistry theory etc.
but it's interesting and awesome so i'm very happy.

JOB HUNTING

this is one thing not so well in life, since I only just turned 16 most places seem to be reluctant to employ me and most have some crap like 16 and 3 months or more etc. WHY THE HELL! should you stick on a few extra months! bollocks i tell you, absolute epic fail.

MANGA

well apart from occaisonally sitting down to watch macross frontier and latest code geass, not been muching watch anime and as for manga, literally only one or two series i'm keeping track of  and can't be asked to check new stuff out except Bakuman which is by the duo behind death note (definately worth checking out)
drawing wise not been in the mood but i'm sure it will pick up again when it feels good.

upcoming things :)
London MCM expo for 25th-26th of October is coming and I have already got accomadition for £20 0_o IBIS right nearby so i'm incredibly lucky. should probably buy ticket since they're selling now.

on a side note, OWwwwww!
i've been working on speed drumming and fills and basically for everyone here who DOESN'T drum, the faster your sticking, the more you will tense up if you haven't got wrists that can keep up, same goes for bass drum pedalling (hence why trivium's drummer is assraped as it's not a double pedal all the time and it's one foot which is batshit insane)

chemistry, sixth form, maths, manga, compting, life, history, drumming, upcoming, events
