hell no

awww man this is why if I ever become a parent i'll make sure I act like I want my kids to.

A dad of some kid I know at synagouge asked recently if his son who's younger then me (10)  could come round and look, try and ask about my drums since he was interested in lessons.

Fine, nothing wrong with that since I asked around before I started and didn't end up a n00b with a drumset I didn't use (no no I wuv my drums <3 ) and he brought his guitar since he figured he could play around abit as well, also fine since I'm not in a band.

I expect he'll be around an hour to hour and a half which is fine again.

his parents leave and it's gone past that time and don't get me wrong the kid is really well behaved and no trouble so it's nice to show off skills but obviously I have other things to do so I ring his parents after awhile and guess where they are... FUCKING SLOUGH!

SERIOUSLY, it's a good 20 minutes by car and then they turn up an hour and a half after saying they would >:/ not amused, I only babysit when i'm bloody payed.

This is a week ago.

Run into his dad at synagouge today and his dad asks "would you be interested in giving paid lessons to him? i'll let you think it over since he doesn't like formal lessons".

'doesn't like formal lessons', the kid hasn't had any formal lessons apart from piano from what I know and his parents apparently have a habit of dumping him at people's and so I was thinking it's babysitting with lessons but cheap, FUCK     NO.

I'm not getting duped into this shit.

desperate as I am to make abit more then my  paper route money I could say if you leave him longer then you pay more but thats rude and i'd rather have a proper part time job ¬¬ fucking barstard parents of his they've brought him up so he's polite but they have left him to his own more then they should when they HAVE the time to look after him etc.
I'm thinking if i could but my mom was absolutely against it and knows them better then me and the impression I got didn't impress me much.
