This summer has been tiring.

I think I should run tomorrow. I was hoping to be in top form for the mountains of California - which I will be visiting in 2 days for my grandfather's 80th birthday. This weather has not been contributing to my effort to train either. On a daily basis, I can expect 97-101 degree humid summer heat and an untimely shower, followed by more heat, which makes the everything super humid and sticky. To be honest, I don't really know how much running I will be able to do in California. My uncle from Switzerland will be there with his 15 year old son, so my plans might revolve around hanging out with my little cousin.

I went home to South Florida over the weekend to hang out with friends...but really to watch the World Cup in HD. Life is better in HD. Well, to my surprise, I received a call from an old friend from high school, Sanjaya! His sister got a job South Florida and he was helping her move in. So, to avoid sleeping on the floor, he called around to see if someone had an extra room which he could stay in and he ended up staying with me. Good times.

I am getting tired, but I have been listening to a lot of Lollapalooza bands lately. There is an Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's song plying on tv right now. cool. They are really starting to grow on me. Slightly related...Jeff Mangum's Live at Jittery Joe's album is sounding pretty good right now. so seamless.

bon nuit. a tout a l'heure.
