I'm baaack.
Sydney was lovely, as always. Sydney is such an escape for me - it's full of bright lights and traffic and shops and people. There were people on the streets, laughing and smiling and enjoying themselves, which quite honestly does not happen in Canberra.
We went up on Tuesday, checked into a cheap motel near the UNSW campus, went out for dinner and went to bed.
On Wednesday I had my careers day, which was okay if not terribly interesting - I went to seminars on psychology, education, professional writing and career-planning.
Then I had my two-day course, What Word is That? A Brief History of the English Language (*nerd*), which was fascinating and full of awesome people whose email addresses I hopefully haven't lost. Did you know that the ancient Greeks had 428 verb forms?
We moved in with Uncle Mike for the weekend, and wow, his house has changed since I was last there with Alison and Justin, about eight years ago. I swear it's grown smaller.
I was going to go and meet Sean but... didn't. D:
And I finished five books.
"Driptease" is my new favourite word. It means a person that puts the milk (or juice, or whatever) back in the fridge with only a few drops left in it, and it was made up by a girl in my course.
Aaand quote of the day:
[21:21] Sean: YOU! are so COOL!
[21:21] Sean: And... HOT!
