bored at the airport
it's 9:45 at the san jose international airport. i'm waiting for my flight to burbank which leaves in 90 minutes. thank god for free wifi... marshall is off getting chicken strips at the new "the brit" (i'm sure owned by the same owners as britiania arms) because he had a hankering for something fried. apparently they don't believe in fast food at the new terminal because they got rid of all the mcdonald and burger king kiosks. it's for the best, although i'm sure they'll bring in other places to eat once all the construction is finished. the new terminal is really nice, though. this feels more like a reputable airport, rather than a small-down one. i love all the natural light and the huge walk-ways. i just really wish the peet's coffee stand could make a decent cup of coffee. anyway, marshall and i are getting ready for 24 hours in los angeles, well technically ventura. it's marshall's best man's 30th birthday party. he got the flu earlier this week, but is apparently feeling good enough for a party. i sure hope so. i'd hate to fly down there only to see he's still feeling icky and we're having the party around him. at one point in the last couple of days, his girlfriend was going to cancel and reschedule. woudn't work for us, though, but that's what happens when you live far away. he found out about the party (it was originally a surprise) and started feeling better. whether that's him being stubborn and he wants his birthday party or he's actually feeling better is debatable. he doesn't know who's coming, so i guess that will be surprise enough. so, here we are at the airport embarking on the most expensive 24-trip ever. :P
