so, celtcub gave me a letter almost a month (or more) ago and i haven't had the time to complete the meme. plus, he gave me a super hard letter. i've had to crack open the dictionary! anyway, here's my list of favorite V's...

if you want to play along at home, comment and i'll give you a letter and you can write about 10 things you like that start with that letter. fun, huh? ;)

1. vulva: i am a girl and i have one. it wasn't until a couple of years ago where i became interested in looking at it and exploring it. for some reason, even though i've had boyfriends in the past, i've never had the desire to find out how my body ticks. yeah, i'm a late-bloomer in some ways. better late than never, though, right?
2. vino: yes, i cheated. the letter "v" is very difficult. i grew up in an italian family. we drank a lot of wine. my dad loves wine and so does my mom. we've always had wine in the house growing up. watching someone eat dinner without a glass of wine boggles the mind. you're only drinking water? that's weird. when i was little i would ask my dad for sips of his wine (and beer). he'd oblige. when i got to be older, i was allowed tiny glasses of wine at family functions and before i was 21 was allowed a full glass. i love wine tasting and buying and drinking wine. unfortunately, i can't seem to go through it fast enough. i need to just get into the routine of having a glass a night when i come home. it's heart-healthy!
3. vacations: when i was little, i enjoyed going on family vacations. i was a baby when my brother and sister were included, but later on it was just me and my parents. it was fun. unfortunately, i've learned that vacations are expensive! i still have ideas of different vacations to take. i really want to take a long road trip somewhere and explore places i've never been. my bucket-list includes visiting every state in the US. so far, i've crossed off 19 states.
4. vampires: during junior high, i exclusively read the young adult horror books written by christopher pike. my favorite was his 6-book series, the last vampire. it was full of sex, adventure, and action. i believe i read a few of them more than once, too. i never followed through and read other well-known vampire authors, like laurel k. hamilton and i haven't read the twilight series. i tried reading anne rice, but it was too dense. i liked the setting for her stories, but the plot moved too slowly for my tastes. i was recently introduced to true blood and am interested in seeing the rest of the first season.
5. vanilla: i love the taste and smell of vanilla. it's comforting to me. it has been overused a lot with the rise in scented candles and body fragrances. true vanilla, though, is delightful. it's light and slightly musky. and seriously, you can beat a good vanilla ice cream.
6. vegetables: i remember growing up eating lots of veggies. i love them. i always try and make sure our dinners include a veggie. it took a lot of time to convince marshall that corn is not a vegetable, it's a starch, and so are potatoes. you can't have both corn and potatoes and meat in one meal. there's no veggie. personally, this year, i'm going to try my hardest to eat more vegetables.
7. vibrator: yes, i own a vibrator. in fact, i have 2. and, yes, i use them. it actually wasn't until i started dating marshall that i bought one. i enjoyed it immensely and bought another.
8. volleyball: there was a time when i was very active. from fifth grade to eighth grade i played 3 sports year-round: volleyball (fall), basketball (winter), and softball (spring). i really loved playing basketball and softball, but the only trophy i won was for volleyball. i received the coach's award one year because i never missed a game or a practice and it showed my dedication to the team. i definitely was NOT the best player on the team, far from it actually, but i had fun playing. i like to use that attitude for everything i do. if i'm not having fun, what's the point?
9. voyeur: i am in the category of a voyeur, not just sexually but i love to people-watch. unfortunately, i have a sever tendency to stare. i love watching people act with each other, paying attention to body language and tone of voice. it's really interesting. plus, i can make assumptions, which, if i don't know the people, is super fun! marshall usually has to yell at me to stop staring, though, because i forget that it's real life and not TV and people don't like being stared at. :P
10. vinegar: i love vinegar and tend to be rather heavy-handed with it in the kitchen. my salad dressings tend to have slightly more vinegar than what is necessary. when avocados are in season, i take a half, score it, and dress it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, a little olive oil and red wine vinegar. when i'm done with the avocado, i sometimes drink the dressing. i also love steamed broccoli with red wine vinegar sprinkled over top. i like other vinegars, too, but my favorite is the red wine kind. seriously, if given the chance, i'd drink it.

here's another one courtesy of liam. i'm just feeling super unmotivated today...
