lovey dovey
marshall and i decided to have a weekend away this weekend, seeing as it's labor day weekend. last year we spend the weekend in san francisco (my userpic was taken at the japanese tea gardens at golden gate park). that was wonderful and we had a great time.
since we went north last year, i suggest going some place south this year. marshall found country garden inns in carmel valley. we visited carmel earlier this year, as baby-sitters for my sister and brother-in-law (company family retreat). marshall got us the wine tasting package, which gives us tickets to tastings at 2 local wineries and a bottle of local wine upon our arrival. very nice! my sister suggested going to a couple, including bernardus. they have a winery and a lodge, which includes a restaurant and day spa. as a treat, we're going to go here to get a couples massage together. i really can't wait! :)

since we'll be gone all weekend, i'm imploring our local friends (celtcub, norcalpaco, and/or damneddonkey) with a small request. can we count on you to watch/feed/play with our adorable kittens while we're gone? if we're grabbing breakfast together, i can give ya'll a key. thanks in advance! :)
