I finally figured out how to do Zelda's birthday party invitations in a Compact-friendly way.
I have bought scads of used greeting cards over the years from thrift stores - I'm drawn to them for reasons unknown even to me - and usually I buy like, the entire bin for a $5 or something like that. As a result, I have many "vintage" cards, many Jesus-related messages, and many cards designed by the blind or people who used to have polio or some other such heart-wrenching blahblabhlabh alhba.
Anyway, I started to get the cards straightened out a couple of weeks ago and I have one photo box full of random miscellaneous cards but they are at least neatly lined up. So I went through the box and found all the cards featuring dogs. Because it's a Puppy Party. And I have all this sticker paper. So I am cutting out appropriately shaped pieces of sticker paper and covering up the "GOOD LUCK" "WAY TO GO" and anniversary wishes for your grandparents that are on the front and inside, and I'm putting "COME TO A PUPPY PARTY" on the front of the cards, on the sticker paper, and the info about the party on the inside, on the sticker. Some are blank so those are easy.
Once they are done, I just have to go through my envelope bin and match these weirdass cards to something that still has some adhesive.
