Oh the GUILT
I have bought my first unnecessary purchase. NOT counting the baby yarn I bought at the Salvation Army to knit baby presents for my preggo friends this year.
I was at Goodwill hunting for a costume for Jeff, and I spotted this huge limey green (you know, that kind of off lime that is gorgeous?) huge fleece scarf/shawl with pockets in it. Used. $.99 - had to have it. Even though I don't need it. I mean, it wasn't a new purchase so it didn't break my Compact so much as my own personal pledge not to spend ANYTHING on things I don't need until our debt is paid down. My husband was there, which is probably why I did it. If he hadn't been, I would have felt badly and probably not bought it.
But now I am feeling the guilt and everything. I'm thinking that maybe I'll hold onto it and give it to my mother for Mother's Day, because she would absolutely die with love for the thing. That's a good idea. Okay, guilt assuaged. Back to work.
