Today we got to Paris around five o’clock. After attempting to find a laundry place and using the internet at a cyber café across the street, I went to the welcome dinner. The vegetarian meal was pasta with pesto sauce and vegetables on top. It lacked some flavor. For dessert they gave us what looked like a chocolate cupcake. But inside the cupcake they had warm fudge and around the outside they had white sauce. It was really good.
After dinner our coach bus driver (who is from France) offered to give us a bus tour of Paris. Paris is a gorgeous city. We saw the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, and of course the Eiffel Tower. It was so pretty! He let us off at the Eiffel Tower and I got to climb up to the second level of the tower. The view of the city at night is so amazing! I wasn’t expecting to see this on my first night in Paris. The Seine River is so calming… I loved it
Once we went back down we went across the street and rode the carousal and ate cotton candy. By this time it was too late to take the metro back to the hotel so we had to walk or take a taxi. We decided to walk. It took us one hour of brisk walking to walk back to the hotel but I could do it since I had just eaten a huge thing of cotton candy! Yum!
