My mind is in the past

The future looks boring...so I've been thinking about the past a lot. I really regret not saving money to go on a trip this year. I think about how much fun I had in Daytona and Miami. The people we met there. The people definetely help make the trip.

In Daytona, I think that maintenance guy hated us, at the beginning. He was probably thinking that I didn't know how to take a shower. He must have been tired of coming in there and fixing it for us, everytime we called. But by the end of the trip, he was treating us like his daughters, telling us what to eat and what not to eat. It was nice. And we can't forget that couple from Georgia, who were so sure that Tiffany and I lived in different parts of the country cause our accents are apparently not the same. They seriously didn't believe that we lived a mile from each other. And that trip to IHOP, or I Hoop Hoops, that began with us having a table full of food, and ended with an empty table. Seriously, we were super hungry, and ate everything. And Ben, the taxi driver that wanted us to keep in touch with him. He was much better than the one in Miami, he didn't speak english and we had to listen to the radio in spanish.

Miami was...different. It was like being in a different country. Our hotel could have been better, we had to change rooms, I don't know how many times, cause of bugs, dirty underwear, no water coming out of the shower. But the staff were really nice about it, and gave us a deluxe room, at no extra charge. We had a balcony, but our room was tiny. But it was bug free and there was no dirty underwear tucked away anywhere. We got stuck hanging out with Elouise, she was at the hotel next door. I don't know, we just ended up on the bus tour with her, and we got stuck with her all weekend. The bus tour, that was an experience. The bus driver going through the "pink" light, the trip to the Little Havana and the super strong Cuban coffee. The apparent "double date" that Tiffany and I were supposed to go on with the hotel asst. manager, and his brother. Glad that didn't happen. The trip to Emeril's for dinner that was totally worth the $90. And how could I forget the utility closet that Tiffany thought was the elevator. It was hilarious.

Ahh, hopefully we'll be able to go again very soon. I miss the the beach, the ocean, the feeling of being someplace unknown, the hotel, its just someplace different.
