Last weekend was Armageddony goodness, oh my, yes.
My introduction to John Rhys-Davies (who played Gimli the Dwarf in Lord of the Rings) was particularly memorable. He came over and was talking to a group of people near me. He was laughing about how all the girls were going mad over Sean Astin - "they're all Sean, Sean, Sean" - and I said, "Sean's just a boy... you're all man!" He seemed amused by this, took my hand, and regally kissed it. I later talked to him again and got Xan to take a picture of us together. He tickled me and I - how I hate this word - giggled. Lots. Despite myself. If you look closely to his right hand, you can totally see him squeezing me... Not that he wasn't anything but a true gentleman, though.
Sean Astin (who played Samwise Gamgee) was absolutely lovely and offered to hook me up with one of his many cute friends and/or brothers. Score! I have this picture on my dresser now and it watches me get dressed, and I wonder if he is looking at me with horror or bedazzlement. Mikey says that it looks like bedazzlement, and he is awfully smart, who am I to disagree with him? :)
