I've just come from work, and I'm tired. Work being supervising first years in Biology of Cells lab. It's actually quite cute and fun, although I'm finding my sole downfall as a demonstrator is uncontrollable laughter when students get things really wrong. Oops. But tonight I was just so tired that when this kid who just gets everything wrong couldn't find his own skin cells under the microscope, I just found him a big air bubble and said that that was it.
"That's it there? At 40x magnification?"
"Er, yes, yes. Bye now."

That said, I really do enjoy teaching little 'uns, and I'm getting a bit protective of them all, it's quite strange. I wouldn't mind doing this job next semester, and it brings in an extra $40 or so a week, so it's all good. It does take a lot out of you though.

I have an imprint of my boyfriend's shoe on my leg. It's quite cool really. A result of soccer misadventures. I also have many tiny bruises in a soccer-ball shaped patch on my thigh. I do love my violence I do! Currently playing in an indoor soccer league on Friday nights, it's great. Mikey informed me today that my nickname is "The Rock" as I'm a fairly solid defender, which made me feel good, although all I do is piss people off by getting in their way while they're trying to get goals, then taking the ball and booting it really hard down the other end of the gymn. It's evidently of some use to my team, and I enjoy it. I'm such a bitch. :)

Uni's going okay, still haven't really got moving yet though, five weeks into it. I'm feeling like I'm in some kind of stasis. I'm doing a whole mix - law, journalism, psychology, biochemistry and genetics; it's quite cool. Law is a bit dry and tedious though, taught by this guy that has a beard and seems very stately and cool but in reality isn't that articulate.

My life is normal to ME, it seems.
