It's been a while since the Greatest Day Ever back in May, so I figured I'd clue you kiddies in on my latest happenings.
I'm not taking classes this summer, but I still have a full schedule. I'm currently in Pittsburgh taking a crash course on optimization and scheduling, then as soon as I get back, I will be undergoing a tonsilectomy on June 12. As soon as I recover from that, I'm off to Vegas for a well-deserved vacation, then almost immediately after that I'll be heading to Germany to present at a conference on process systems engineering. Then the day I get back from that, it will be a combination of moving to my new place and practicing more intensely with the band in preparation for playing out (see below). On top of that, I'm moving all the websites to a new host, putting a lot of work into most of those sites, and I'm still supposed to get work done on my research.
Trampstamp is going along very well. We have solidified our lineup with a great lead singer, and we're going to put off our search for a 2nd guitarist since the four of us are ready to play out ASAP. We have a demo minus the vocal tracks, which are being added as I'm writing this, and I will be putting out the word that we'll be available to play after July 15. I'm not entirely sure where we'll be playing, but it will likely be around the Columbus area to start off with, and maybe a gig or two in Atlanta. I plan to build a website and Myspace for the band sometime in the next few weeks, so all that stuff will be on there.
If any of you don't hear from me for a while, don't sweat it, I'm likely alright but busy.
