Absolutely loved everything about this ep, and the ending was exactly what I wanted it to be - the boys back together, taking on Lucifer, Michael, demons and angels together, stronger as a family.
Loved that little flinch Jared did when Dean pulled out Ruby's knife! That was so telling of Sam's uncertainty about how Dean felt about him, and I think, no matter how much we would have liked one, the lack of a hug was also appropriate in that the boys are still so very uncertain of each other.
I liked where they set that last scene too. I'm not sure whether it was the same place, but it looked like where they met John in Salvation when he was about to go off and meet Meg with the fake Colt and the boys didn't know whether they'd ever see him again. This show is so cyclical!
And oh yeah, Double Dean Duty AND Sammy in the white suit? Wow! Sensory overload!
Misha was awesome. That's probably the third character he's played in the show now - Castiel, Jimmy, and Mortal!Castiel. I suspect that will convince Dean not to take him to any more brothels!
yeah- I kinda did and didnt want that hug.. In a way- a hug would have dimished the hugs of when Sam returned and then Dean returned from their respective "graves". I also liked that the reunion was essentially devoid of any further Sammy "excuses" or remorse - that this was Dean's chance to speak his peace... They both have so much baggage and while neither is totally right- neither is totally wrong.
Yeah- I too noticed the similarity of the site selection... the train trustle... I'm pretty sure - is the same place from Salvation- or its damn close. But then- I'd bet a paycheck that the place they attacked at the end was also our beloved Roosevelt Asylum too- rehashed several times over.
Kudos to the editors for the seemlessness of the double-Dean shots too-
and Misha... mishamishamisha... heehee... I think you're right Shaz... we're seeing more characters out of him than reincarnations of Sammy! hahahahahha....
