MBV... and going home...
SO I missed the opening night- gee thanks American Airlines and sub-zero temperatures... but we managed to make up for it last night... even as sick and literally exhausted as I was... no way was another day going to pass and I didnt get to see it...
I will admit- that I was pleasantly surprised - that despite it being a typical slasher fic.. it kept me guessing throughout... *additional rant behind the cut to prevent spoilerage*

SO... so was I surprised that Jensen's character ended up being the bad guy... well- honestly yes and honestly no- which in itself - I think - is a credit to the movie... I totally thought and guess I deep down wished- it was gonna be the sherriff. I spose in some ways - it was just cause I didnt want Jensen to be the killer- but it DID totally make sense for his character- and again if I'm totally honest- I kinda think it was cool for him as an actor to stretch and not fall into that stereotype of misunderstood hero... and... at least he got to live at the end.... I dont think I could/ would have liked it if they would have killed him - especially if he would've gotten axed....If I truly have any complaint about the movie - its just that it felt like to me that Kerr Smith stole the show - but then- I get that they had to have Tom/Jensen a bit more subdued so he DIDNT look suspicious... oh well... again-- at least he walked away.... and they didnt damage that face... LOL
One of the coolest things about the movie was near the opening with the aerial shot of "Harmony". Having grown up in Pittsburgh- I totally recognized the bridge and town... have been all around the area of Kittanning growing up- so that held a bit of creep-factor for me... Chances are, I've been near those mines too...
So its Sunday morning- and I'm a pretty happy camper... despite another trip coming up, despite needing to write a ton of stuff and despite being sooo behind at work I cant even think straight...
But then... Jensen Ackles kinda has that effect on me....
