Debtpocalype

The top three contributors to the debt accumulated in the 21st century (according to AP as printed in Friday's Hamilton Journal News):

1. 2001 and 2003 tax cuts under Bush $1.6 trillion, borrowed from China.

2. Interest $1.4 trillion

3. Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan $1.3 trillion

The solution? Keep the fricking tax cuts. That's right. The debt deal to permit us to pay our bills keeps the Bush tax cuts from expiring, and does not raise new revenue. The biggest contributor to the debt remains untouched.

I have a bad feeling about this.
