Tech help (DVD)

Foolish question - is there a DVD cleaning disc that I should be using in my DVD player? For a while it's been freezing on scenes on various DVDs, and now it won't even load (I've tried multiple DVDS and configurations of on/off, loading, reloading etc.)

If there's not, is there any place in Oxford that fixes DVD players? It's two years old, so I assume the warranty has expired.
