I'm planning to move again. My day begins at 7:30 a.m., I get home at 7:30 p.m., and then have three hours of grading and lesson planning ahead of me before I go to bed. It's starting to get to me, and with north-east Ohio winter weather, it will only get worse.
I've found a one-bedroom apartment in Kent I like (and will give me a six-month lease), and will complete the application today. The problem? I can't move by myself, and I can't afford movers. To complicate matters, it will be a four-part move: from Dover to Kent, from my storage unit and possibly my parents' home in Columbus, and delivery of a futon and dresser to Kent (thus avoiding the need to go to my parents' home.)
Dover to Kent is covered, and the futon and dresser I can handle on my own.
Are any of you willing or able to help in the following ways:
1) Come to my storage unit in Columbus and help me load boxes in my car. Furniture is in back and boxes are in front, and I can make do with a minimum of furniture.
2) Be willing to drive a van, pick-up truck, or SUV from my storage unit to Kent. (I'm trying to avoid making anyone do this, but it would be helpful.)
3) Come to Kent and help me unpack. ;-) I think I can get people on this end to help me, but the more the merrier, and you could see my new place.
Possible moving dates:
Nov. 30
Dec. 6
Dec. 13
Dec. 20
Would any of these dates work? Is there one that works best?
I hate asking for help after everything so many of you have done for me already, but moving is presenting certain challenges.
Thank you so much.
