This holiday, I am most thankful for techno-lemurs. According to ancient Irish mythology, lemurs stole Fomorian technology to execute what we would consider bionic adaptations in order to leap through the corn every Lughnasadh, chasing away the deadly mythical fossa, as detailed in the Neo-Pagan classic song, "Lemurs in the corn."
So thank you, techno-lemurs, for defying evolution and embracing technology to become fossa-fighting, corn-leaping heroes. (I'm wondering if there's a link between techno-lemurs and Great Pumpkin folklore.)
