Tradition begs for it. So in 2008, I will:
1. Write MORE.
For anything and for anyone but the government (of course).
2. Get healthy and make abs happen.
Now this is the trickiest part of everyone's list of resolutions. But I was looking at myself in the mirror a couple of weeks ago and I started noticing the wrinkles under my eyes. They were not tiny, insignificant signs of ageing, they were creases, many many creases asking me to wave goodbye to my youth! So I shall find myself a new pair of running shoes and a new exercise routine. I've been thinking about whether I should do
normal Yoga or
Bikram Yoga. What do you think?
3. Quit smoking.
I can imagine you smirking as you read this. I know what you're thinking. But I've done it before and I'll be doing it until I banish nicotine off of my system! Wish me luck on this one. I hope my boyfriend quits for support. (how's that for subtle?) I think #3 also contributes points to #2 so it's important that I do both.
4. Spend more time with family.
Since becoming an "Anak ng Pasig," I have been quite, uh... lazy to go home and spend time with my mom and kuya. I will definitely, def-def-, definitely make time for more family bonding sessions this time around.
5. Refuse to be caught up in too much drama.
A little drama is healthy for me ( I think). Too much of it just drains out all the energy that I could have used for more productive, creative and happy little things. Life's too short to be living in a teledrama.
6. Take more risks.
I hope I could trust people more. Trust my instincts, and trust that the universe can only conspire to bring about all that is beyond whatever my imagination and paranoia can conjure.
7. Be more positive.
This part is similar to quitting smoking. The more important thing is that I actually try, is it not?
8, 9, and 10 will be posted tomorrow. I can't think of anything else. Have you got anything for me? Well go ahead and spit it out.
