So many memories of this festival season, so much raw emotion... Faire (In my mind, it will always be Faire) is an amazing place, doubly so because I know I helped, in some small measure, make it so. I didn't cry at closing gate on Monday, as did most, but I felt no less sadness. I don't really think it's fully sunk in yet, that it's gone for ( Read more... )

Yep, I snitched WIL from Scarby friends; works well, don't it?

I ditto'd too many of your numbers to list them, started and then I stopped. Plus if I highlighted just a few, I'd be saying too much!

But I do hafta add this; you are a remarkable performer with amazing attitude and energy. In other words, you rock! People are noticing when you don't always notice that they are and I never once saw you doing anything other than a fantastic job.

I know I said more than once through the run of faire, "I wish I had half the energy he does!"

Awww, shucks. Means a lot to get that kind of praise, and from a veteran, no less.

You're not exactly wilting by the end of the day yourself, you and Bruce just kept wailing away like a couple of machines. I'm sorry I never had time to take in one of your shows, QG is always a welcome addition to my faire day.

And if it's any consolation, it usually takes me a day and a half after each weekend before my legs are willing to work properly. Energy I may have, but I pay for it later.

Ah, hell. I'll do it all again. Good thing there's a faire coming up next year!

*chuckle* When the music starts, there's always energy from somewhere, especially if Heather Alexander is playing her fiddle. And yeah, I do drag the next day myownself but work must still be done. I'll know it's time to stop, I guess, when it takes me all week to recover....not bad for 51, I suppose.

But you can always come play at White Hart, if you wanna. Several hours away but still...you could get in on the ground floor of building something nifty and new.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll put you in touch with Adrian Gilby who is playing Lord Mayor and in charge of villagers (he's the guy with the goatee in "The Lord Mayor's Company, in case you don't know him.)

51?!!!!

Damn faire people not looking their ages... Ah, well, I'm not one to complain, myself.

Well, well. I may have a prior engagement that weekend, but I'm definitely interested. I met him briefly last weekend, so I know who you're talking about. I'd love to go if I can swing it!

*chuckle* Yeah, I get that reaction a lot.

And it's three weekends of faire; the last one of June, first two of July with a workshop/rehearsal the weekend before it starts.

If a ride would help, we can work something out as Lady Grace Parker is riding with us, too.

I've let Adrian know that we've talked about this; his email is adriangilby (at) hotmail.
