A/N: this started as an idea for the clexmas True Love Fest prompt: $, but I didn't get around to actually writing it until this morning. Oh well, better late than never!
Hope your Valentine's Day was sugar-sweet.
Lex had always been a doodler. Though bodily trapped in tedious meetings, he kept his fingers busy creating ever-evolving designs in the margins of his notes: corporate logos, org charts, technical concepts to pass along to Product Development.
Lately his sketches had expanded in intricacy and scale. But he’d had to channel this restless energy somehow; else he’d have been drawing insipid hearts around Clark’s name.
He was infinitely grateful Clark had chosen the S as his symbol. If Lex caught himself slipping, his schematics giving way to endless graceful curves, at least he could turn them into dollar signs.
