God, I am a selfish beast. As full as I am of sadness and a desire to help Haiti, my first thought when I logged in this morning was, "CRAP, I missed the bidding deadline for help_haiti AAARGH"
I made a $100 donation to Doctors Without Borders last week. It was independent of fandom, my company offers donation matching so I took it as an opportunity for my money to do twice as much good.
