[...] In the beginning there were a lot of reactions like "Why does Ueda Shinya moderate it? Is Kamenashi a regular?", but after one year it has two times or three times the ratings of the shows airing at the same time in the other TV channels. I think in addition to existing sport fans, people who like variety and JE fans also added up to it.
This year I often worked with Kamenashi-kun, he really tried his best. First I met him in March just before the show started, the first interviews were with Tanaka, 岩隈 and 永井, but compared with that time whenever I met him once a month I thought that he grows and that he does his best. When we go to eat together I came to understand he is a person who really cares about people. Every time I meet him, I feel his attitude of "In order to grow, I will positively accept everything". That person is also happy KAT-TUN appears in a new CM and wants them to do their best.

He received a lot of comments.
He says it's a win-win situation.
Kamenashi fans -> have an interest in baseball, have a good impression of the new Kamenashi
baseball fans -> have a good impression of Kamenashi, discover a new baseball from a different view point
Our 嶋 also said recently "Kamenashi-kun, doing it so far, it's great~"
Also Johnny's are polite (he also mentions Nino and Sho).
Also fans asked why Kamenashi-kun wore Nagai (永井)'s uniform. The original-program uniform prepared by NTV didn't fit, and so the idea popped up "Oi, Nagai! Lend him your uniform!" The sizes matched, the silhouette and shape are similar, as time passed the players all said that, "Gradually, we started to see Nagai (*laughs*)" (*laughs*).
