I stumbled upon
James Asal and his wonderful webcomic
Adam and Andy while trolling the Interwebs.
It's the sweetest, best-drawn strip I've read in a long time. Asal says he draws inspiration from Alex Raymond (Flash Gordon) and you can tell by the careful penstrokes and the meticulously placed dark areas. His story-telling is old-school - just a small core of main characters. No B plots, no soap opera. Asal also delights in the little pleasures of day-to-day living - Adam and Andy's world is a cozy little life of snuggling and snack food and spats over who cooks dinner. And lots of love.
Spend a little time going through the archives and you'll get more than a few smiles.
