My first comedy sportz match was last night and by common concensus, I think I can safely say I didn't do that badly. It was so much fun! I was incredibly nervous the entire week, but once I got onstage instinct took over and I was more relaxed and at ease before the audience than I had been in a long time (both onstage and off). It was amazing. And now I acctually feel confident. Not only about comedy sportz but about my position in the theatre. But I suppose that has something to do with helping out at the junior troupe workshop. Man, that was so long, but ...so good for me to do. I'm feeling pretty self-assured right now. And I've never felt that way, its a nice feeling. I love my beloved Daisy, Blythe, Granolala, and God (Ike's new nickname), and of course the Bryan, and the Vincent, and the Caitlin...how I look up to them...
and now I shall steal an idea of Kirsten Opstad's. I am going to describe to you my surroundings. I am sitting on my full sized mattress which is sitting on the ground covered in a red mattress cover with my back leaning against my "grape leaf" (or so the paint label called it )wall. On my lap there sits my beautiful beautiful toshiba laptop. On my knees, Mercutio a sleeping tabby kitten. Next to my right arm, Hero, another sleeping tabby kitten. Looking to my left I see my loveseat couch and my wall o' mirror...(my closet) on the wall that I am leaning on...if i turn my head to the left I see a small print of "starry night" and three black and white pictures that my brother took in high school. one of my sister, one of a chair, and one of our house. looking up at the wall I see a large poster of "the kiss" by Klimt, on the wall to my right...nothing. looking to the right at the wall that I am not leaning on I see two fairy prints and nine farside comics and a print from a calendar of "the little prince" my tea shelf, and half of a photo of my when I was five-the other side sketched in my by sister. the furniture to my right includes a bookshelf i decoupaged in photos holding journals and books (including all of the harry potters some in german in fact..., rosenkranzt and guildenstern are dead, arcadia, the laramie project, noises off, divine secrets of the ya ya sister hood, little alters everywhere, siddhartha, the missing peice..etc.), a ceramic box my sister made me containing teasures, an alarm clock, and a printer, I'll continue later...
and now I am continuing, next to that book shelf is a set of drawers. On the side of it...several photo booth pictures, and on top, speakers, candles, and a large hand-painted ceramic mushroom. Next to that there is anothe book shelf where I hold my letters, insense, shakespeare collection, and various books I have stolen from the class library of teachers that I despise. Including The great gatsby, 1984, great expectations, etc. On top of this bookshelf, a teapot and teacups. Next to that peice of furniture there is another rather oddly shaped peice of furniture. It is half book shelf like, and half "into the corner of the room fitting". Any ways, ontop of the bookshelf part, I have a collection of wine bottles, three are melted from the wildfire. On the shelf parts I have my pitiful collection of CD's and sweaters. On the corner fitting shelf, I have a hand welded peace sign my brother made for me, handcuffs ...(its nothing like that), a picture of my sister and I at the grand canyon, a pirate flag, and a sculpture my sister made. to the right of that there is my window. (I am looking directly at it from my point of view) From here I can see some of the top of a tree, and an overcast day. to the right of it (from my point of view) there are two post cards of an adorable german children's book character. On the window sill three suculent plants, and one cactus. below the window a twin sized bed on which the loverly granolala is sleeping. To the left of the bed (from my p. o. v) is a dresser/book shelf. On top of it three wine bottles, a dinosaur named Lysander, and a dart board. On rhe book shelf parts...jewelry, papers, loose change, books, candles, buttons, pens, soap, just a bunch of junk. in the drawers, lots and lots of clothing, on the wall next to my dresser a water colored painting Ariel painted. And I think that sums it up. Oh and the only lighting in my room are several strands of christmas lights going around the room.
pretty eyes, pretty eyes...where will i see you next...my god I HAVE an arm!!! ha HA you fools! ugh.....march.
