This is my Teen Wolf season two set for
20inspirations. This round was different from previous rounds in that we had to pick unique claims, we couldn't switch our claims, and the theme was a more traditional 20in20 type deal. So I thought, 'hey, I'll do Teen Wolf 'cause it's my thing,' and in some ways it worked out and in others I made it difficult for myself. I know the fandom and the caps so well that for some themes it was easy to quickly recall a cap that would fit the theme. On the other hand, I've already iconned this show so much and a lot of the best caps are overiconned in the general icon community, so I tried to icon caps I hadn't used before as much as possible or I tried to do something different with the caps I'd already iconned. On top of all of that, there were the themes themselves and my endless battle with self-doubt. Is pastel too pastel? Down the Rabbit Hole or just ugly? (DtRH 1.0 was definitely just ugly and will never see the light of day!) I ended up with a surplus of obscure crops the first day that I was working on this (vibrant and faceless were originally category icons) and then I ended up with six chiaroscuro icons so five of them became artist's choice. Retro was almost my minimalism icon before all the textures. Anyways. My point is that this was a weird combination of easy for me and anxiety-inducing.
I have my next icon post ready to go and was hoping to get it posted before this but I'm waiting on some pesky challenge results that are overdue. Hopefully that will get posted in the next few days. I'm also working on a set of Atonement icons for
inspired20in20 so that should be posted soon as well.
