New Year's Monster Post

Well its been a long time....

Finished my first term at bournemouth, which i have to say i liked despite my housing. The course is going very well and i'm finding it interesting.

Suddenly xmas was upon me and the usual festivities occured. Had a nice xmas day with my family and got some nice gifts, mainly dvd's (finally got my own copy of Ghostwatch), books and some money. My cousion who is about the same age as me came over from Finland. We used to get on really well and i hadn't seen him for about 5/6 years (he had been in the army)so i was abit nervous as to how we would get on. Within 2 minuties of meeting again it was like old times, we were discussing various things, mainly computers and RPG's. The shock came when i was showing off my PC Game collection (yes i know, very sad) he spotted my old Reading Anime membership cd that was in there. It turns out that iam not the only anime fanatic in the family. Needless to say we talked alot and it was a shame i didn't manage to see more of him as he was only here for a week.

After xmas i rapidly began spending money on various stuff, some more ram for my pc, some games and also a dvd burner that has been a godsend. I had so much anime on my second hard disk it was just getting silly. But now thats all sorted and my anime collection has grown even larger! I also randomly went and brought a PSP, but have still yet to get around to play it.

Most of the time over the holidays i spent play MMORPG's (of course). My EQ2 account was cancelled as you may recall from previous entries so i had to fill the void. I played COH and COV for awhile. It certainly was an interesting variation on the MMO theme and i got my main scrapper up to lvl 20 and also tried various other types, both heroes and villans.

I am now play WoW (world of warcraft), which although i had heard negative comments about during my time with EQ2, iam actually starting to like it. The community is somtimes of a somewhat younger age, but the world that you play in is fantasically well designed, and there are no loading times or anything, its all one sprawling world. I can also play this game at bournemouth, as the firewall doesn't seem to block it. I have been called a 'noob', i have been 'ganked' and 'corpsecamped' and have met many 'leeroy jenkin's', but have yet to have meet a 'ninja'. So as you can see ive still got a few things to do in the game.....

Then i woke up today to discover i was a year older, but of course no wiser. Went out for a meal with the parents, which was nice and got some money and other random gifts.

I'm back off to bournemouth on saturday, but ive certainly had a good time. I hope this year is going to be more fun than last year....
