Pokedex Entry #9: A little late for Easter

[Once again, the drone deliveryman is waiting for Dawn in front of her house on Bunker as she gets home from school, bearing another package shaped just like the last one. Remembering the last time, she excitedly runs the rest of the distance toward him.]

Awww, it's a rabbit!

"...Buneary?" [The cute little bunny jumps out of Dawn's arms and toddles over to Ahiru, looking up at her curiously and then back at Dawn.]

"Oh, that's Ahiru, Buneary! She's kind of like my sister while we're here!"

[Dawn rubs the back of her neck in embarrassment. Explaining this sort of thing never gets any easier. Buneary, for its own part, cheerfully waves up at Ahiru, repeating its name again.]

"Ahiru, meet Buneary! She's another one of my Pokemon!"

Oh, all right!

[She looks down at her and smiles.]

Hi, Buneary!

"Buneary!"

[Buneary and Dawn both smile at Ahiru.]

"I just got her back a few minutes ago! Now Pachirisu will have someone to play with!"

Okay! Ha ha, that should be fun.

All of these Pokemon sure are cute!

[Lets Pachirisu out of its ball. There is much adorable frolicking about with Buneary~]

"I know, right? Just wait'll you meet the other ones! I have two more, but the town hasn't given them back yet..."

Oh, you do? I bet you'll get them back soon. I can't wait to meet them!

[Looks over at Buneary and Pachirisu playing and smiles.]

"Yeah, I hope so. I really miss Piplup. He was my first Pokemon ever!"

Really? Well, yeah, I guess if you're with them all the time and they help you out then you'd be pretty close, huh...?

Yeah, my Pokemon and I do everything together! We've adventured all over the place training for contests.

[whatthequack]

Ha ha, that sounds great! It must be really nice to have friends like that!

Yeah, we always have a lot of fun together! And one of my human friends is here in Mayfield too, so that's nice. I still miss the others a lot, but having familiar faces around makes it easier, y'know?

That's good! Yeah, it really does help make you feel better. Two of my friends from home are here, too.
