This pregnancy is really ticking along. Our midwife has said that, depending on other health factors she'd probably be willing to consider me full term from 36 weeks. That's just over 4 weeks away. Although I have no expectation of having this baby early the thought that it could be so soon feels strange. Exciting and terrifiying. I was born at 36 ( Read more... )

I'd be very happy to talk to you more about it all as and when you're ready to, and certainly if you find yourself in the Midlands at any point and fancy an in person chat then just say. I have nine months of maternity leave looming and have been lead to believe that after the first couple of months to get to grips with an entirely new world, adult company becomes amazingly welcome. :)

The most useful place I've found, particularly with having had some fertility issues myself has been here: www.fertilityfriends.co.uk/forum There's an LGBT section which is where I hang out mostly and it's amazingly welcoming - the whole site is to be honest, and if you've got the slightest fertility quibble there will be someone on there somewhere who has been through it and can offer support and advice. I go by my other LJ name on there - I'm sure you'll find me.

There's also http://groups.msn.com/LesbianInseminationSupport which is used less but still has some very useful threads and some very supportive people in it.

Good luck with the rest of life settling part. Particularly the next couple of weeks. :)

I'm on FF under my LJ name too, although don't use the forums (have just been using it for charting). I've had July and August off, mostly because I knew I had other things that were going to take emotional energy / disrupt sleep patterns etc. I'll start again in September, may then pay so that I can access them. I'll check out the msn group too, once I've got through the next few weeks...

I'd love to come up and see you once you're feeling ready for company, my cousin lives in B'ham and has just given birth so I could have a day of baby visiting :-)

The FF forums I'm on are completely free - it's the UK based FF not the American one. I think it's the American one that offers the charting. Do check out the link (didn't make it a URL - sorry) as they are excellent.

Yey for future visiting plans. :)
