happiness is an old man cat in your lap
the video i was submitting was at say, 95% last night when i went to bed and when i got up, it was at 25%.
that's just beyond my realm of understanding.
but, what can you do? i'm not complaining.
now it's time for a well deserved break.
First, a recap of the accomplishments of this year
1- Finished thesis film that was completely completely "my own".
2- Showed thesis film in a major respectable venue
3- Graduated
4- Taught my major for 18 weeks
5- Interned and got the job i wanted from it
6- Secured an apartment
7- Stayed in LA
8- Started freelancing
9- Got the creative suite/system i need to run it
10- Collected my first major piece of art
11- Made a few new friends and became better aquainted with the galleries in LA
12- (i will have made 6 or 7 films this year by the end of december ( i am working on two now not including the one i mentioned above). that's a fucking banner year my friends. and i started a savings account.)
13- Finally made it to those big-ass parties i was trying to get to, and had an amazing time.
Those are kind of big things. i think i can end the year feeling pretty good about it, especially when i look at this list.
