One thing I think is a great idea is the idea of a two dimensional political spectrum. there's a bunch of these around the internet, but they're pretty much all the same. For now I'm using stuff from www.politicalcompass.org ( Read more... )

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.46

actually, in the bible's story of joseph, the great advice he gave pharoh was to cut taxes and deregulate. Thank you rush limbaugh!

But yes, the pope is a lefty, which makes sense, with an altruist ethics. He's also authoritarian, which makes sense, with an altrusit ethic.
