Oh hay there's a hole in our ceiling.
You know considering, I'm a lucky children. Both me and Rick were no where near the place when it happened. And I have a family to turn to, a wonderful boyfriend who drove me back and forth last night, and a wonderful dad who drove me over this morning to salvage what i could. And for certain, better us than the family with a baby a few floors below us.
The fire was in the frat house attached to us, and even though the fire went through the roof, it didn't spread to ours. But it looks like in order to get to our roof to stave it off, the fire fighters had to break into our apartment, and the ventilate the smoke they had to rip through the ceiling and punch out some windows. In the end, our apartment is the only apartment in the building that is totally not habitable any time soon, and i doubt when they fix it up they'll fix it up back to it's total shittiness that enabled me to live in such a nice neighborhood.
