I am tramstrams on twitter, I thought I should tell you that before I start following you there. I use Twitter a lot, especially when I'm busy with school stuff (What? Where else would I complain and procrastinate?).
I'm also tramstrams on tumblr but I just recently got it. And I mostly just reblog pictures of Tom Hardy... XD So, I'm not sure if you want to follow me over there. Though if you know of any good Merlin tumblrs please tell me, I need more blogs to follow over there. ;p
And about your question. My name is Alex, which is short of Alexandra. Although I am called Trams (loooong story behind that nickname) by my closest friends, which explains my usernames on every other site that isn't LJ. XD
Favorite book. Wow, that's not an easy question. I have such a hard time just picking one. Also I suspect everyone must have read the books I've read. Hm... Last year I started to read the Mistborn trilogy by an author called Brandon Sanderson. I didn't have the time to finish the trilogy and only read one and a half book before school took over my life. But the first book was brilliant! And I also felt that it could work pretty well on its own. He also wrote a book called Elantris which I loved a lot.
I could probably go on and talk about my love for Neil Gaiman's books but I always assume everyone has read him. ;p If not, American Gods, Neverwhere and Stardust are amazing and wonderful!
Oh, and I spent many many years in love with David Edding's books about Belgarion, but I haven't re-read them in a long time now because I am sort of worried that I won't like them as much now that I've gotten older and have read more books.
The Temeraire books by Naomi Novik are amazing and you have to read them if you haven't. They are brilliant.
Uh... I completely failed at telling you which is my favorite book. But really, I love all the books. XD
Also, now you know right away about my habit of writing ridiculously long comments. Although normally they are a bit shorter than this. But you got me talking about books... XD
Hrm...I do follow a few good Merlin tumblrs but mostly I just look at the tags.
I have actually NEVER read a Neil Gaiman book and I feel so bad for it. I definitely will some day though - since I see the books there every day at B&N and always feel like picking one up.
Oh Lord thanks so much for all these book names! I'll definitely be checking them out. :D
I love all books too; they're all good. xD
It's totally fine xD I enjoy long comments - and books. Especially comments about books.
You have never read Gaiman? Wow... You should do something about that. Really. You should. He is brilliant. :D
You're welcome, :) Last year I did my best to get back to reading books again since for the past years I've mostly read fic. And I actually read quite a few books so I definitely had recs. ;p
I like talking about books. I love books. Even when for a long time I almost didn't read any books I kept buying them because I have a thing for owning books. XD
