Alcatraz Journal Entry 3

(technically Kylie wouldn't have been able to make this journal yet considering the situation but oh well)

January 1st, 2009

I feel like I haven't slept in ages, but right now sleep is a lesser concern.  It seems like with each day that passes things just get more and more complicated.

Yesterday wasn't horrible. Nothing truly epic happened during the day and I decided to explore the island.  Ended up in Cell block-D and met Asis there. I'd always read that the D-block was one of the most haunted areas in Alcatraz, and man were they right.  It started out rather quiet, but it didn't last for long.  That smell was possible the most disgusting I've ever smell, and it even made me vomit. It wasn't more then a minute after that we had three spirits on our hands and they were out for blood.  The first two were easy pickins,  The last one gave us a little more trouble but that one went down with a little trickery of our own.  There could have been more hiding but we ran out of their as fast as we could.  All in all, it was more like a old fashion hunt. Something I miss.

I think I we just concentrated on getting away because before I knew it I was separated from Asis, and was pretty much lost. It was then that I saw Jess and a guy I hadn't seen.  Turned out that he had amnesia and didn't even know who he was until he found an ID in his wallet. I don't think Jess let her eyes of him for a second, and while I was on guard to make sure he didn't try anything, he seemed genuine enough.

The there was the meeting.  Poor Cas had to deliver the announcement.  Makes me wonder why exactly Alastair is using Cas.  Probably to get us to listen because you can't take that damn demons words with more than a grain of sand.  This time it was about the appearance of Lilith, or whatever the demons actual name was.  Turned out that it was possessing Nirty. Brought back bad memories of when the demon Azza possessed Lucas.  I felt just as helpless.  Everyone was working so hard and I couldn't even think of anything to help them.  I guess lucky for us Nate sent the demon back to hell.  Turns out he's God. Frickin' God.  I mean I'd always been a believer, but I never expected him to actually come down to earth, even with the threat of the apocalypse.  Yet it felt right.  Almost like everything I had been taught and had learned as hunter didn't apply.  However, most of the others didn't feel that way.

In attempt to prove himself, Nate, or the Lord rather, slit poor Arwen's throat.  And though he did in fact bring her back, that's just not the way to go about proving yourself.  His second attempt at proving himself was the beginning of our current mission.  While trying to summon Uriel he found our that Cas was dying.  DYING.  Cas can't die, and as a member of his Order I will not let it happen. And even with as good a plan as we've drawn up, there's going to be a price for this battle.
