In which I ramble about the many fics I have on the go, exciting LJ projects, and life goals...

Since this is a blog and there are many things happening with me right now, I figure I might as well use this like a blog and write something, yeah? Yeah.

Livejournal is still such an enigma for me but slowly I am getting my head wrapped around it. The idea of backposting all my fics from AO3 seems incredibly daunting so unless I have a super slow ( Read more... )

I always love hearing about everyone;s projects!

One day at a time is a good method. Persistence will do it!

I hope so! I've lost a lot of weight before but it's slowly been creeping back on account of injuries and subsequent laziness. It's not so bad once you get going but that first little while sucks so much haha

WRITE ALL THE THINGS ABOUT MINCON!!! YES! And post your pics and tell us EVERYTHING. I love reading people's con experiences.

Omigosh! You delightful enabler, you ❤ I am definitely too brain dead to keep writing creatively right now but maybe a MinnCon post will help me kill the last few hours :)) Perhaps I will do just that!

Heh, looks like you and I have similar yet in some cases opposite problems. Right now I'm kicking myself for not getting started on my spn_cinema fic just yet and the deadline for drafts being only a couple weeks away. My schedule at work next week isn't helping on that note either. Ugh! *headdesks* Procrastination is a beast ( ... )

Ahhh omigosh don't say it like that?! A couple weeks away *flails* I have SO much to write haha (but really, it's more tears than laughter? Maybe? At least both)

Procrastination is definitely not helpful. I'm lucky in that I do most of my writing at work. Spoiled, I know ( ... )

I love seeing what everyone's up to for the next few months with their projects :D
One day at a time, baby steps, that works and is a good way to go :) *hugs*

*hugs*

It feels good to put lists and goals out into the void. It makes me feel that teeny bit more accountable to myself as far as being motivated and sticking to it is concerned.

❤❤❤

You are a million times braver than I am. I chickened right out of cinema when I saw how quick the turnaround was. I don't really do longfic; a month for an idea that'll probably hit 10k was just... nope.

This though: just following my heart, so it'll be a surprise for me, too.
My poetry teacher in college always said, "No surprise for the writer, no surprise for the reader." (Like, catchphrase level. Say it one more time, I dare you. >.<) So I'm super excited to read this one, not just because I love when writers follow their hearts, but because I am a sucker for curtain fic. :D

Oh, I love that so much! I'm going to hold on to that little tidbit.

I have a soft spot for curtain!fic though really I've only read two -- but! They were so amazing I thought, I will never write one because these two are everything I want. But then the heart wants what the heart wants, I guess. For bigger fics I tend to have a plan but this one I am going in blind, as I said. I'm just running with it. I'll make sure to let you know when I get around to finishing it ❤

I hear you on reading some pretty perfect curtain fics - most of which have been written by de_nugis in my experience - but that didn't stop me writing my own. Probably heavily influenced but what can you do? Sometimes we just have to do some DIY!

Out of interest, which were the two that you read?

Oh! I recognize the name de_nugis but I'm going to have to go looking through their stuff, I don't remember it! *yay new recs*

My first fave was the Sail and Mast series by Linden. It was the only one I read for a long, long time. Her writing is elegant.

Recently I read pathossam/waywardelle's 2015 BB The King and the Lionheart because I crush on this writer so hard haha she could write a recipe for toast and I would still read it. That said (my adoration for her aside) this fic is so beyond -- it's just the best. I highly, highly recommend it!
