So today, I went to my cousin's wedding which was really nice, actually, and I had a great time. Later that night, I got home and was playing with Daisy, giving her envelopes from people's Christmas cards because she loves eating nice quality paper products (and nice quality everything else) and am wrestling with her to get one out of her mouth.
That's when I felt a tickle on my arm, and look down to see that my right wrist is completely bare. If you have known me in the past three years or so, you would know that my right wrist is never bare, because since January 2004 I have had a green bracelet on it, albeit recently it has resembled dental floss. This bracelet I got from Brazil three years ago, Salvador de Bahia, to be exact, where one of the local children looked deeply into my eyes, tied three knots and told me to make three wishes, telling me with great purpose: "When the bracelet falls off, your wishes will come true."
I honestly don't remember what I wished for, and therefore do not know if they have come true or not. But nevertheless, this marks a great milestone in life. I'm just not sure what it means yet.
