(no subject)
Didn't get out on Black Friday, but still took advantage of Small Business Saturday because that is a cause I can always get behind and I had a few items I've been meaning to get. Plus I had to leave the house anyway as I was out of toilet paper so why not. Found a few of the things I've been looking for, like some sweaters for work that are some other color besides grey and white. Also found a few unexpected treasures, such as some pretty things to decorate my office with, a set of pretty champagne flutes, and a vintage 12 speed stand mixer in the perfect size for my tiny kitchen.
Sadly, the stand mixer didn't come with a bowl and I apparently severely underestimated the availability of 4 qrt. mixing bowls with ridges on the bottom that won't cost me as much as I paid for the mixer, so I'll probably spend next weekend at the thrift stores hunting one down. But when I finally hunt one down, fun times are going to be had in my kitchen.
I also FINALLY found a new swimsuit, which should not have been as hard as it was since my criteria for the perfect suit was basically bikini, simple print in non neon colors, top like a sports bra that doesn't tie and shorts as a bottom.
I feel like this post should end on something meaningful, but part of my haul this weekend was a bottle of decent champagne and a pair of cheap, pretty champagne flutes so I'm doing some last minute celebrating before it's back to work tomorrow.
