Cats.
So last year around this time my grandma bought a cat bed for the boy cat, whom she had just adopted. He completely ignored it to sleep pretty much everywhere else, a trend he continued when he came to live with me. So eventually I tossed it in the closet until girl cat came along, when I pulled it back out to see if she'd warm up to it. They both continued to ignore it, choosing instead to sleep in such places as right behind the front door and in an empty plastic pepsi crate. So back into the closet it went, until this last weekend when I pulled it out so I'd remember to take it to donate to the local humane society.
Of course, one or the other of the little brats has been curled up in it ever since.
