Day of Mourning

Nov 03, 2004 21:37

With Ohio state having been hit the hardest by the recession, losing the most jobs out of any state in the union, it became clear, when the state went to Bush, that this election was more about God, Gays and Guns than anything else (later confirmed by polls that show voters cast ballots for Bush based on "moral issues"). It is a sad day when the American people choose a president, not because he is a well rounded candidate with a successful track record and a clear vision for the future full of optimism, but rather because he can give them their guns, get rid of the gays, and worship their God. For this reason I am observing the Inauguration Day of the second term for President Bush, January 20th, as a personal day of mourning. To commemorate this I will be dressed all in black. I encourage you who feel the same to take part and let it be seen how you feel.~end
