“You have a gift for this.”
Katara smiled up at the redhead, wiping her dirty hands on her skirt absentmindedly. “Oh, it’s nothing special,” she said modestly, which was a big lie, but Kurama let it slide. “Toph would be pretty good at it too, if she had the patience.” And actually liked flowers, but that was beside the point. “Besides, it’s nowhere near as good as the stuff you can grow.”
“Ah, but that’s not so much a talent as a...” Kurama started, looking for the right word.
“Superpower?” Katara laughed.
“Yes, you could put it that way,” Kurama replied, chuckling.
With a groan, Katara stood up, knees cracking, and looked down at her garden. “It all seems so small from up here.”
“Remember that patience you were talking about?” Kurama remarked with a grin, patting her on the shoulder. “They’ll grow.”
Katara shrugged. “Yeah, unless Sokka or Ang decide they want to help. Then it’s a lost cause.”
